This notice explains what personal information LIFE GROUP collects through lifegroupbd.com, why we collect it and how we look after it. It applies to this website only. Our companies' own websites, such as lifefoodsbd.com, have their own notices.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us.
- Enquiry form: your name, company, email address, phone number, country, enquiry type, message and any file you attach.
- Careers form: your name, contact details, location, areas of interest, experience, a link to your professional profile if you provide one, your CV and any note you include.
- Website assistant: the questions you type into the assistant and its answers. When AI answers are switched on, your messages are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a reply. We do not ask for your name or contact details in the assistant, and we ask you not to share personal or sensitive information there. We do not keep a record of assistant conversations on our website.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type and the page visited. These logs are used to keep the website secure and working.
This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
We use the information you send to:
- respond to your enquiry, or pass it to the right person in the group to respond;
- assess your application for current or future roles, if you apply through the careers form;
- keep a record of our correspondence with you;
- protect the website and our staff from spam, fraud and misuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Who can see it
If you use the website assistant while AI answers are switched on, your messages are processed by Anthropic, which provides the AI model, under its commercial terms.
Your information is seen by the people at LIFE GROUP who need it to deal with your enquiry or application. If your enquiry concerns one of our companies, such as Life Foods & Beverages Limited, we may share it with that company for the same purpose.
We use service providers to host this website and deliver email. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and maintain reasonable business records. We keep job applications for up to 12 months so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Use the contact form and choose "General enquiries". We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Security
Forms on this website are sent over an encrypted connection. Access to submitted information is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information we have not asked for.
